Pregnant woman between faery and human worlds.“Rachel's Garden” - under consideration with literary magazines!
Rachel Sinclair is days from delivering her first baby and she's gotten herself trapped in a Hidden World where a dying faery queen wants something that no mother would willingly give.  ~  When her bully of a husband, Trevor, destroys an ancient white cedar tree, he unknowingly severs the connection between the faery Queen, Orlea, and the source of her essence. Not only is she dying but so is her infant son. Rachel must choose between giving Orlea what she demands or she and her unborn child will be sent back to a life of abuse at Trevor's hand. But there are others in the Hidden World who have need of Rachel, too. The survival of two innocents, one human and one faery, and the fate of their mothers, depend upon the choices made in Rachel's garden.

EXCERPT:  "Across the bright sky, seven nebulous figures tumble and dance. Prismatic energy pulses through ethereal bodies, reflecting rainbows with every movement. They burst through the clouds, a celestial hierarchy of jewel-tone colors: Ruby, fiery coral, emerald and lemony citrine; sapphire, amethyst and the seventh figure shimmers like crushed diamonds. Mesmerized, I stumble over my own feet and bump into a stranger. A large hand grips my elbow. I gaze up. Penetrating pearl-gray eyes make me feel as if I’ve dropped into another universe."
